ASSERT offers the following services to its customers:
Weatherization/Energy Retrofit Services for low income families, seniors, and disabled individuals funded by Southern California Gas Company and Southern California Edison Company.
Customers must reside in ASSERT's service area.
Customers must be eligible for program services.
Eligibility is based on total household income.

ASSERT is a non-profit corporation serving Northern Los Angeles and Southern Kern Counties. ASSERT was founded in August 1977 to serve recovering substance abusers, the economically disadvantaged, welfare recipients, the unemployed, and the handicapped.
ASSERT administers grants funded by the Direct Assistance Program of the Southern California Gas Company and the Energy Management Assistance Program of the Southern California Edison Company providing weatherization (energy efficiency) services to residents of the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and the Antelope Valley.
In the past twenty-eight years, ASSERT has also placed over 2,500 persons into full time employment, served over 400 foster and at-risk youth, served over 20,000 low income walk in clients in its energy programs, and weatherized over 45,000 homes.
ASSERT has a proven track record moving people from poverty into economic success. ASSERT is dedicated to working towards a better tomorrow for all of the disadvantaged people in the Los Angeles Area.
